The main objective of the FORT project will be to develop new asphalt mixtures, in order to obtain more resilient construction systems, with improved properties and which are more sustainable over time during their working life. It aims for said solutions to be more resistant, from a mechanical standpoint, to chemical and physical agents and even less susceptible to thermal absorption, isolating and stabilising the mechanical behaviour of the mixtures, as well as fluctuations in ambient temperatures that are becoming increasingly pronounced due to climate change. A fundamental part of this investigation is focused on obtaining asphalt surfaces that are especially designed for their application in container terminals and ports.

Project financed by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI) through the Business Value Chain Consolidation Programme for 2021-2023 (INNCAD/2021/3) and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) with the aim of promoting technological development, innovation and high-quality research.
