The main objective of the project is the development of the cold mix asphalt manufacturing and installation techniques to achieve mixtures with better technical characteristics than current mixtures, which can be used in similar situations to hot mixtures, with a lower cost of resources and energy consumption.
The addition of an additive called “Ecoasphalt” allows us to increase the amount of emulsion and water in the mixture and, in turn, raise the temperature to approximately 40º due to the exothermal reaction produced. Allowing a mixture ready to apply and compact, more manageable and compactable than the traditional mixture. Creating a new type of mixtures that we will call: “Self-Healing Mixtures”.
